Description

The Garmin Alpha 300 K was built for hunting with dogs. It has almost three times the battery life of its predecessor, a bright 3.5″ touchscreen and new tools that make work in the field easier.

Garmin Alpha 300 K features

  • Bright 3.5″ touchscreen, usable with gloves, plus buttons
  • Track up to 20 dogs at once within up to 10 km, 5-second update rate
  • Battery life up to 55 hours (rechargeable, swappable Li-ion)
  • Channel View shows which radio channels nearby Garmin devices use, so you can pick a quieter one
  • Preloaded TopoActive Europe maps, Birdseye satellite imagery
  • Multi-GNSS (GPS and Galileo), altimeter and 3-axis compass
  • Pro View compass and colour coding show if your dog is moving, barking or has game at bay
  • Garmin Explore app: live dog positions as a map overlay, save and review tracks
  • Works with fēnix and Instinct watches, DriveTrack, Alpha K and Atemos devices

Compatibility

Requires a compatible dog collar: Alpha T 20 K or K 5X. Also compatible with Alpha 200 K, Alpha 10 K, Atemos 100 and Atemos 50 handhelds.

Why the K version matters in Germany

Garmin builds its K models specifically for Germany and Europe. They use a licence-free radio frequency, so no local registration is needed. US models (Alpha 300, TT25, T20 without the K) use different frequencies and are not compatible with K devices.
