Why the K version matters in Germany
Garmin builds its K models specifically for Germany and Europe. They use a licence-free radio frequency, so no local registration is needed. US models (Alpha 300, TT25, T20 without the K) use different frequencies and are not compatible with K devices.
See all German/EU K models. Manuals and software updates are on the official Garmin support site.
